Mangaluru: Prof.Gurusiddayya Hiremath, a faculty member at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (SCEM) in Mangaluru, has completed his Ph.D. from the prestigious Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Belagavi.

His thesis, titled “Breast Cancer Prognosis and Prediction using Image Processing Techniques,” was completed under the guidance of Dr. Jose Alex Mathew. Gurusiddayya also holds a patent in India related to his research. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at SCEM Mangaluru. At the upcoming VTU convocation in Belagavi, he will receive his Ph.D. degree from the Governor and Education Minister of Karnataka. Gurusiddayya Hiremath hails from Jamkhandi in the Bagalkot District.
