Moodbidri: A Technical Seminar on “Overview of Antenna Design” was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Yenepoya Institute of Technology in association with Center for Excellence in Antenna Design, ISTE Student Chapter and IIC on 16th June 2023.
Professor Praveen Kumar Konda, a research scholar from MIT Manipal, served as the guest speaker for the occasion. Prof. Konda delivered a comprehensive overview of antenna design, sharing his valuable insights and experiences with the audience. He emphasized the importance of impedance matching for achieving maximum radiation efficiency and elaborated on the fundamental working principle of antennas. Additionally, Prof. Konda shed light on various types of antennas and discussed radiation patterns.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to Prof. Praveen Kumar Konda by Dr. Prasanna Kumar C, the Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Ms. Navya, a sixth-semester student from YIT, skillfully conducted the seminar as the master of ceremony. The technical seminar specifically targeted fourth and sixth-semester students.
The session concluded on a high note with an interactive and insightful question and answer session, allowing students to further enhance their understanding of antenna design. The students benefited greatly from the opportunity to gain additional knowledge and ideas in this field.
