Yenepoya Institute of Technology -Won first prize in IDEATHON 2023…

Moodbidri: Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri students Sagar, Afeez, and Anush have won first prize in the State level Innovation Competition IDEATHON 2023.

The trio presented a unique idea on energy generation from vibration, using novel materials to convert vibration into electricity. The competition, organized by ISTE – Karnataka section, saw around 450 innovative ideas submitted from various institutes across the state.

The team, mentored by G Sujaykumar from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, clinched the first prize at the event held on 14th March 2023 at Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi, Tumkur. The winning idea caught the attention of the judges for its groundbreaking potential in the field of energy generation.
