Sahyadri College Hosts 15th Graduation Day for First Autonomous Batch

Mangaluru, Sept. 20: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management celebrated its Fifteenth Engineering Graduation Day on Saturday, honouring the first autonomous batch of Bachelor of Engineering students of 2025.

The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Raj Mohan C, Director, Kyndryl, and Guest of Honour Ms. Hiyori Takashima, Manager, Zenken Corporation.

Principal Dr. S. S. Injaganeri welcomed the gathering, while Vice-Principal Dr. Sudheer Shetty announced the gold medallists, who received their medals from the dignitaries.

Delivering the keynote, Dr. Raj Mohan reflected on his student journey and emphasized continuous learning, ethical responsibility, and the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence. He urged graduates to stay resilient in the face of setbacks and to uphold integrity in their professional careers.

Ms. Takashima, in her address, shared insights from her global career, stressing adaptability, diversity, and work-life balance. She encouraged students to embrace opportunities while staying rooted in their values and culture.

Chairman Dr. Manjunatha Bhandary, in his presidential address, recalled the challenges and achievements of the college’s autonomy journey. He highlighted the importance of skill development, innovation, and strong communication abilities, inspiring students to be proud ambassadors of Sahyadri.

The ceremony also included the distribution of degree certificates by heads of various departments, followed by the oath-taking led by Dr. Shantharajappa, COE. Graduates Mr. Sadhguna Aithal (ISE) and Ms. Sannidhi Kaje (CSE) shared their experiences at Sahyadri.
