Moodbidri: Alumni Meet, Yen Milan ’21 was organized by YIT Alumni Association at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri on 27th Nov 2021.
The Alumni Meet, Yen Milan ’21 was inaugurated by lighting up the lamp. Principal Dr. R G D’Souza presided over the function. Dr. Sathisha N, Head, Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Venkatesh Shankar, Head Computer Science and Engineering Department, Dr. Keerthi Kumar H M, Head, Information Science and Engineering Department, Prof. Gangadhara Head, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Prof. Prasanna Kumar, Head, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department and Prof. Shashank M Gowda, Convener of YIT Alumni Association were present.
Dr. R G D’Souza, in his address updated the Alumni about the college performance and proactive measures taken in the recent past in interest of the students and Alumni. He also spoke about the all- in- one Alumni Management Software; Almashines which will help the alumni to stay connected with their alma mater and contribute in a positive way. Furthermore, he opined about the need for interaction and involvement of the Alumni in departmental strategic plans and overall development of the college.
College organized cultural programs and some interesting games to give Alumni, a nostalgic feeling about their good old days and learns more about the skill of the current students. Various performances including songs, solo and group dances were performed by the current students and enlightened the Alumni with lots of emotion and laughter.
The alumni meet was started with the invocation form Ms. Sahana. Prof. Shashank M Gowda welcomed the gathering.Ms. Pratheeksha Prashanth Shetty was the master of ceremony.
