Moodbidri: The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning of Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri in collaboration with YEN ARTIFICIA proudly hosted an enlightening “Backend Development using Node.js” workshop from August 26th to 29th, 2023 at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri.
This workshop was a pivotal event aimed at nurturing participants’ practical skills and comprehensive knowledge in the dynamic field of backend web development.
Inaugural Ceremony:
The workshop commenced with an illustrious inauguration ceremony on August 26th, 2023. The esteemed resource person Mr. Mohammed Shayiz, Software Engineer, Webileapps, Hyderabad ,along with Head of the department and other delegates illuminated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
In this workshop, the resource covered various back end development tools and topic such as MongoDB, JSON, NodeJS, etc with live hands-on session and mini projects.
Unveiling MongoDB Certification:
A highlight of the workshop was the special MongoDB Online Certification course, which was attended by a cohort of 62 enthusiastic students. On the second day of the workshop, participants had the unique opportunity to elevate their expertise in utilizing MongoDB through an intensive online certification course. This course provided an in-depth exploration of MongoDB’s capabilities in data storage and retrieval, granting participants a recognized credential in this cutting-edge technology.
Hackathon Excitement:
The workshop concluded on a high note with an engaging Hackathon—an immersive challenge that evaluated participants’ advanced backend development skills. In this real-world scenario, participants showcased their ability to tackle complex backend solutions, applying their acquired knowledge. The Hackathon witnessed exceptional teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Hackathon Winners:
The first place in the Hackathon was secured by Mohammed Nihal and his team, while the second place was claimed by Anas Hamza Mohammed and his team. Their outstanding performance highlighted their grasp of advanced backend development concepts and their ability to apply them effectively.
Valedictory Program:
The workshop ended with a dignified valedictory program, where the esteemed resource person, Mr. Muhammed Shayiz K P, Software Engineer, Webileapp, Hyderabad, was presented with a memento as a token of appreciation for his invaluable guidance. This ceremony marked the culmination of four days of intensive learning and practical exploration. The students shared their outstanding experience as feedback. The participant’s certificate and prize for winners where distributed by The Head of the department Prof. Prasanna Kumar and the resource person Mr. Muhammed Shayiz KP. Faculty coordinators Prof. Abdul Majeed KM and Prof. Ramya along with teaching and non teaching staff were present. All the students of 4th semester Artificial Intelligence &Machine Learning were actively participated. Ms Sharanya compared the event and Mr. Ayaan proposed vote of thanks.
Overall, the “Backend Development using Node.js” workshop not only provided participants with hands-on skills in web development, APIs, MongoDB, and Node.js but also encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The event was a resounding success, leaving participants well-prepared to make meaningful contributions to the world of web development.
