Sahyadri 10K Run Mangaluru….
Mangaluru:‘Sahyadri 10K Run Mangaluru’ organised by Dakshina Kannada Athletic Association- DKAA and promoted by Bhandary Foundation to be held on 02-02-2020, from 6:00 am onwards at Mangala Stadium, Mangaluru. With the tag-line of ‘Swaccha – Parisara – Hasiru – Usiru’,in order to accomplish this mission and to create awareness in line with Central Government’s Initiative of Fit India Programme.
This mega event is in association with the:
- Dept. of Youth Empowerment & Sports, Govt. of Karnataka;
- Mangalore University;
- Visvesvaraya Technological University
- Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science,
- Karnataka Athletics Association (KAA).

The following categories of Run will be organised:
- Challenge Run – 10K – Men & Women
- 10K Elite Run – Fit India (above 18 years)
- 10K Open All (above 18 years)
- 10K for Students (18 to 25 years)
- Competitive Run – 5K – Men & Women
- 5K Run is to prepare the future runners to the National and International Champions with age between 16 to 25 years.
- Future Run – 2K for Students – Boys & Girls
2K Future Talent Run for teens age between 14-16 years, wherein the selected boys &
girls will be trained under DKAA, to produce Future Champions of Mangaluru.
- Maza with Healthy Run – 5K – Open to all
In line with Fit India Movement, 5K Maza Run is for Men and Women. Their participation to spread awareness about fitness culture will accomplish the mission of Swaccha – Parisara – Hasiru – Usiru.
Organizers are expecting nearly 10,000 participants of different age groups, citizens of the city and various organisations are spreading the message of ‘Green, Healthy – Mangaluru’ through this, Through this event we can bring together all like-minded people, to build and inspire them in making our Mangaluru stand out in splendour, now and for generations to come.
