Mangaluru: The MBA students of Sahyadri College of Engineering College, Mangalore, showcased their insights into Dr. Manmohan Singh’s transformative contributions across diverse domains, including economic reforms, technological advancements, urban development and employment planning, education and healthcare reforms, the Narasimham Committee-I, and foreign policy initiatives.
In his address, Dr. Jayantha Nayak, Professor, Department of Economics, University College, Mangalore, commended the students for their stellar presentations and their keen interest in India’s economic progress. He emphasized that the current robust state of the Indian economy owes much to the foundational reforms spearheaded by Dr. Manmohan Singh. Highlighting Dr. Singh’s illustrious career, he reflected on his pivotal roles and credited him for igniting India’s IT revolution, evident today in the widespread availability of ATMs even in rural areas. Dr. Nayak concluded his remarks by offering valuable personality development tips to the students. He also congratulated Mr. Sudamshu, a first-year MBA student, for his remarkable live portrait of Dr. Manmohan Singh, created during the session.
