Aura-2K24: A Three-Day Festival of Talent and Innovation at VCET…
Puttur: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology (VCET), in collaboration with the Association of Data Science Students (ADSS), successfully organized Aura-2K24, a three-day festival held from November 26 to 28.
The event served as a vibrant platform for students, professionals, and enthusiasts to showcase their skills through a variety of technical and cultural competitions such as Swift Shift, Binary Brains, Tech Fiesta, Squad War, Face Art, Gesture Quest, Madvertise, Tech Rangoli, Techno Vision, and Behind the Lens.
Dr. Mahesh Prasanna, Principal inaugurated the event Aura-2k24 on November 26 and graced the function. The Valedictory Function of Aura-2K24 was held at Sri Rama Sabha Bhavana, VCET. The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Smt. Vidya R. Gowri, Director of VCET. Smt. Vidya R Gowri spoke about the importance of such technical competitions which enabled students to think innovatively and try to provide suitable solutions for real-world problems.
Prof. Roopa G. K., Head of the Data Science Branch, and Prof. Chaithanya D., Coordinator of Aura-2K24, Mr. Abhishek, President, ADSS were also present.
A significant moment of the ceremony was the release of the department’s newsletter, Data Sphere, by Chief Guest Smt. Vidya R. Gowri.
The event was hosted by Mr. Supreeth, with the welcome address delivered by Ms. Sinchana Lakshmi. Mr. Abhishek provided a detailed recap of the festival, highlighting the various competitions and activities that brought excitement and learning to the students. Ms. Shreelakshmi V. announced the list of prize winners. Ms. Dhruthi delivered vote of thanks.
Aura-2K24 was a resounding success, fostering creativity, collaboration, and community spirit among participants, and leaving an indelible mark on the VCET campus.
